Challenge

The company wanted to enhance the leadership capabilities of managers across various divisions, including Manufacturing, Maintenance, R&D, Quality, Plant Engineering and SCM. While these managers excelled as individual contributors, they struggled with leading teams, collaboration and taking ownership of tasks.

Solution

TYS designed a customized Personal Leadership training program to help managers leverage their strengths as people leaders. Key Initiatives:

• A rigorous diagnosis was conducted using questionnaires, on-site visits, observations, one-on-one discussions, and telephonic interviews to understand their roles and challenges.
• Insights revealed that managers excelled in individual tasks but faced difficulties in delegation, cross-team collaboration, and accountability.
• A robust 2-day Personal Leadership training module was designed to address these challenges.
• The training focused on self-awareness, leadership influence, team collaboration, conflict resolution, and leveraging diverse strengths to achieve team goals.
• The master module was further customized for different divisions and implemented across five locations nationwide.

Enhancing Service Excellence Training for a Leading Consumer Durables Company

Client

A leading consumer durables company with a vast dealer network of 18,000 dealers across 450 cities in India.

Challenge

Rapid expansion and industry challenges led to the hiring of entry-level service technicians instead of experienced professionals. This resulted in increased customer complaints, affecting brand credibility. Since service technicians were the only post-sale touchpoint, maintaining service quality was critical.

Solution

TYS designed and implemented a three-phased training intervention to upgrade service technicians' skills and enhance their engagement, aiding in retention. Key Initiatives:

• A dedicated team was set up, including a national manager, zonal managers, training managers, and trainers across four zones.
• A nationwide Training Needs Analysis identified skill gaps, regional challenges, and customer interaction issues.
• A 3-session master training module was developed on Personal Effectiveness, Communication, and Customer Service.
• The module was customized and translated into regional languages based on location-specific needs.
• Train-the-Trainer boot camps were conducted to ensure effective delivery.
• A pilot program was launched in four locations, followed by refinements before a full-scale rollout.
• The program was successfully implemented across India.

This intervention led to multiple follow-up engagements with the client, including Train the Trainer sessions for internal resources on delivering the master module. The Yellow Spot became the client’s preferred learning partner for future training initiatives.

Challenge

The client faced challenges in managing team dynamics across geographically dispersed teams in India and Singapore. The team struggled with ineffective communication and unaddressed conflicts, which impacted collaboration and productivity. They needed a solution to strengthen interpersonal connections and cultivate a more conscious, adaptable team environment to overcome these challenges.

Solution

We conducted a 5-hour virtual Team Bonding & Building session, designed to:
